STARRBOOTY starring RuPaul is a sick, curved, and utterly improbable film. As Starrbooty, RuPaul reminds that she is the sincere Supermodel of the World. She works it, pouts it, and pounds it–it’s truly a gaze to gaze. The spot? Well Starrbooty must attach her niece from the clutches of Annaka Manners. Along the scheme there’s a lot to do and be done…all with plenty of elephantine frontal from some of pleased porn’s finest leading men.

The film is trashy camp–a extraordinary genre of film for the freaks of the world. The dialouge is fleshy on cheese, worthy of it pays hommage to films of the past, a proper camp marker. The makeup and costumes are astounding, with RuPaul and cast wearing each with ease.

It’s hard to disect this film, and it’s primary un-reviewable. It’s stout of sex, violence, and is not friendly for the faint of heart. “Starrbooty” is also essentially delighted cinema but hopefully out hetero counterparts will secure some sense of humor in this camp coated masterpiece.

Hilarious and filled with tacky fun this movie is a first-rate time beneficial time. When I saw this at a film festival I was not expecting a capable movie but I was blown away by their imprint of humor, it worked. Savor how the whole cast makes fun of everything including themselves. Savor the air of innocence the movie has even though the actor(s) were not acting innocently there is something cute and cuddly about the movie after leaving I felt like I impartial saw THE GOONIES for the first time kind of reminiscent. This made me wonder why life is not simple and fun at the same time, who cares if people accumulate offended. Also Rupaul looks aesthetic as always.

The story begins with every parent’s worst nightmare. Terry Stone (Meredith Baxter, TV’s “Family Ties”) and her husband Geoff answer an early-morning phone call to learn that their son, Andrew, has been rushed to the hospital after being injured in an automobile accident. They arrive at the emergency room and are told that Andrew has suffered severe head injuries and may never fully recover. Andrew, a college honors student with a bright future, was a passenger in a car that was hit by a young man with a history of drunken driving. Terry watches for many months as her son struggles to hold on to life, and then as he starts to regain the steps of his life back. She is not about to let the driver with a drunken driving history use his family’s influnce and wealth to escape his justified punishment. But for Andrew, retribution and sympathy are not what he is seeking. His passion is to recapture his lost past, his once promising future, and the person he once was. Andrew and his family pull together, each taking a different route to help heal the physical and psychological wounds of this tragic experience. In a tale of hope and despair, strength and weakness, the lessons learned are not always obvious. There are times when a person needs to fall before he can finally rise. There is a thinly, thinly, thinly veiled attempt at creating a plot and at acting in this fairly dirty blu movie. Kara (Venesa Talor) is sent to experience bodily pleasure by her alien species, which leads to numerous unconnected, plot-irrelevant encounters with all kinds of buxom babes and buff guys. The pool, the massage parlor, the avant-garde theater–these kooky humans seem to be going at it everywhere! Kara must believe that she’s landed not on Earth, but the planet Silicone, but she never seems to kvetch about it. On the plus side the actors are attractive and keep their wooden deliveries at a minimum to allow full enjoyment of the wretched porno-quality soundtrack. Surprisingly, no mention of thanks to Lee Strasberg in the final credits. Plenty o’ skin. –Keith Simanton
